Activating Listeners to Build Better Communities

App design and development to help build better communities.

Northwestern Media, a network of radio stations, engages their audience through quality content on- and off-air. Through our strategy work they identified an opportunity for a digital tool that activates their listeners to serve their communities. In comes the Hands & Feet app. We built the app so each individual radio station and listener community could customize their own version and content of the app.

Tracking Kind Acts

Each day, the Hands & Feet app provides users 3 challenges, also known as Kind Acts, that they can complete in their communities. The app tracks when you’ve completed those acts and measures them over time.

Community Impact

In each app, GPS and mapping capability allow users to see where acts of kindness are being served by their community. It gamifies kindness by showing how many people completed challenges that day in the community, inspiring others to do good deeds.
